The kiss of death

                                                                     Chapter one

          Suddenly, my heart started racing, to see him makes my heart beat. His touch, his eyes draws me in closer every time. I know this is forbidden, but forbidden makes it even sweeter.
          The crack in the door lets the sun beam into my little room. The window lets even more sun in, it's blinding. I awake with a very big yawn.
          " Aspen, Aspen, this is your very big day, don't be late, honey, wake up," yelled Siren from the kitchen.
          " Huh, what you say," I yawned.
          " Honey, don't tell me you already forgot, no, no can't be true, it's your day to prove to the queen how much you've grown in you very unique power," she yelled with excitement
          Siren is my nurse maid, she helped me out since I was just a baby, my real mother died escaping, the Cripto's, no one actually knew who she was, or how she made it that far. Yet I look just like everyone else, except I have very different powers, strange they are. I have long flowing blonde hair, big blue eyes, I am tall, and people say that I am most beautiful, I don't know what that means. Yet I am not popular around the girls, they hate me because all the guys flock towards me, I guess they are jealous in some way. I have no friends of the same sex, only guy friends.
          I get up, wash then I put on my very best gown. It was my mothers. The one she had on when she gave birth to me, and died in.
          " You look most beautiful, they will love you, and accept your powers, I know of it." she says very reassuring.
          " What does that even mean, Siren, most beautiful, everyone tells me that but I never found out, but thank you I will try my hardest, but what if they get scared of my powers what will I do then,"
          " Well it means you are the prettiest thing in the whole world darling, and if you fail with your powers or they are scared of it, they will kick you out and you will never be able to come back, ever again, but that will never happen, don't fret," Siren said, I don't think she meant for it to scare me, but it really did.
          " Can you help me fix my hair, put it in a bun please," I quickly said trying to get off topic.
          " Sure thing sweet heart, even though I think you hair is prettier down, your curls are gorgeous," she exclaimed.
          " Thank you Siren, but it looks more professional with a bun," I said.
          " True, so after I finish your bun you have to get going, okay, and I will be right behind you," Siren said with a look of pity, I really don't know why though. She finished with my hair, so I carefully stood up, I looked into the mirror, and laughed. I look really weird, I usually never wear dresses, ever I am more of a tomboy, then a girly-girl. Siren just stared at me in awe. I walk through the kitchen and came to the door. I look down from the tree top where my house is and study the whole area. Usually I never get to go outside. This is a once and a life time opportunity, the house of the humans is right in front of us.
