Glorious Cosmos.
Take one Cosmos, one universe extant,
heat with a Big Bang (temperature is high.)
Emerging are quarks, beginning is time.

Regulate this haze of proto-matter
(energy to wit--matter not yet made),
commence cooling everything dynamic,
instigate merge of atomic nuclei,
promote formation--let all matter rip!
Existence, then, is basic recipe.

(First, there was nothing, no cosmic motif
overhead, from our perspective, but lo!
  Reality is rigid taskmaster.
All, back then, was infinite area
  lurking as singularity, wee small.
Lest astrophysics rile, sigh and chill.

This universe was moved, perhaps, by that
holy mover, one called God, whose fine touch
enacted existence when there was none,
rolling out stuff for stars and worlds and fur,
exacting with aplomb the rise of tide.
I wonder, though, what moved the mover?  I
  sing inside--curiosity abides.)
