Voices in my head

There are voices in my head
angels to encourage me
and devils to ag me on
i have found the joy of both
they dare me and challenge me
I must carry on
i hear the song of a distant memory
i hear the crowd roar with joy as i finally made my way back home
with tears of joy in my eyes i look back and know i did not make the trip alone
those that came before me
those who are by my side
and finally those i leave behind
everyone of them my hero
I have always known there is a world just beyond what the eye can see
A special place
A place for me
the place i call home i return to from time to time
in the light of those who dwell there my spirit begin to glow
Their love for me heals me and erases every scar i ever have known
I leave behind a fading memory and day of darkness i should have never known
but as i drift from eternity to eternity your smile is never gone.
With darkness forgotten my life is love
Resurrection forever, a final death never known
I can clearly see in this place i have grown
There is no nothing and in every one is all
I charge blindly forward to the light
Stronger and tempered by the fire of life
I can lose nothing because everything is never gone
In my head i hold tight to the image of you
No matter how life treats me
I take comfort knowing home is just one breath away
