ONE YOUNG SCARIE One young scarie fell asleep On his very first Halloween night He tired while scaring children Now he's out like a light The others couldn't find him Those scaries all went home But little scarie didn't go Now he was all alone He didn't know the way to find Oblivion's dark cave That's where scaries must return If they are to be saved Just then he heard a horse's "neigh" The rider was a sight His head a Jack-O-Lantern A specter of the night "A scarie!" said the horseman "You're out here far too late If you do not reach the cave You face a terrible fate!" "My friend I'd like to help you But this horse is not so hot He doesn't care for Halloween He won't run, walk, or trot." "I'd gladly take you to the cave I must return there too If I can't get this horse to move We'll both be in a stew." Little Scarie thought, then said "I can get this done! Get on your horse and hold on tight I will make him run." Then Scarie did what scaries do He screamed a Hellish scream The horse reared back and squealed in fright And ran at his full steam And so they helped each other They all got home that night That scarie, horse, and horseman Made a frightful Halloween sight! |
