really lost
The last time I wandered a high mountain path,
A well-hidden hot spring I took for my bath,
I felt the chill air, the hot sulfur water,
I rest on green moss, no fox fur softer,
The trees were in tune with a harmonic breeze,
As jazz-filled songbirds bebop as they please,
High in the sky, the sun moved ‘ere westward,
Lacking volition, I trust nature's vanguard,
For I was lost in a forest of dreams,
Where sleep and awake so surreal it seems,
Where dying and living is near the same,
Or am I playing that same old fool’s game,
Of wishes, desires, and dreams that come true,
Fear of the lifeless and fear of the new,
My mind's gone viral and can easily see,
To reach out and touch the soul of a tree,
Then what does a world of bleeding heart's do?
Freak out on gumdrops and caviar stew?
Caviar stew? How do you do?
My mama has children older than you!
Muhahahaha… oh no! What was that?
I think I just saw a bear in a hat!
The bear was orange, the hat was blue,
Too bad I was busy talking to you,
Let’s take a deep breath together we’re cool,
We’re neither one like that other fool,
Over there laughing as his belly inflates,
Only to dwindle as he flatulates,
A tone so sweet as if played on a harp,
But stink! I swear he ate rotted carp,
OMG! I’m sorry, I’m such a lout!
What was it we were talking about?
