Our God is in the business of redeeming.
Psalms 51:17 "My sacrifice, O God, is[a] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise."

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Ephesians 1:7 - "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."

Lord, I come to you with a heavy heart,

please hear me at this time.

It's been a long week of striving,

and setting my aim too high.

I want so much to please you daily,

in my words, actions, and thoughts.

But I view my failure as separation,

and forget how hard you fought.

You tell me to bring all my pieces,

and everything I hold back.

Though you knowing of my imperfections,

makes me shutter behind my mask.

I wonder how you possibly can make,

this wondering heart anew.

When deep inside I see the scars,

and all that has been bruised.

Then I hear this whisper within,

and my fears quickly melt away.

"My child, you are precious to me ,

and at the cross I proved my stay.

"
So I let go and stand in awe,

of the beauty you insert.

Help me in the midst of chaos,

to recognize your hand at work.

Even when things fall apart,

and don't turn out according to plan.

Remind me of your sovereignty,

and how you've numbered each grain of sand.
