Roy Orbison was unique. At age six, his dad gave him a guitar. Age eight, Orbison wrote his first song. He dropped out of college to pursue singing, and by 1963 was touring the UK with the Beatles. The first night he opened for the Beatles, Roy Orbison performed fourteen encores! The Beatles found him a hard act to follow. He had bad eyesight and forgot his glasses one night of the UK tour, so resorted to his sunglasses. That's how the glasses became part of his look. His music is timeless, and that's why I chose him. R.I.P Roy. We miss you.
