A poem about being lost without someone.
She had always talked softly.
That was her way.
She had always wanted to be the kind of girl without a cage.
That way she could sound like the waves, forever roaring.
She built her own cage with a lock, but forgot to build a key.

But with him she felt like she could laugh out loud.
The cage felt more like a wall now.
A wall she thought he could break.
And if that wasn't love then maybe I don't know what it is.

But you left.
And I can't break this wall down without you.
And I don't have a key.
