Possible plot, character, and story idea

This is just a bit of idea throwing and brainstorming. You're welcomed to throw out your own suggestions as well. I wouldn't be posting this if I didn't want feedback. Also ,I'll add on tomorrow if I don't finish tonight.



I was thinking that a young man born into the mafia meets a fierce Texan belle who has just moved to Los Angeles. The young man is the current under boss to his family next in line after his father, the don, and runs into the Texan woman in the middle of a dispute with some street thugs. He falls in love with her, but can he keep her and his lifestyle?
