Life can feel like a puzzle at times
My life feels like a puzzle;
all I can do is make a wish.
To my knees I safely nuzzle.
Will this nonsense ever squish?

I sit here day after day;
my carousel of a mind
turning, in shades of grey.
To happiness, I think I’m blind.

As I work to put together
jigsaws of my revolving life,
squares of colour begin to tether.
I sit here watching the fading strife.

One day all will be well;
I will not fear circling thoughts.
Should I feel the greyness swell,
I’ll simply take my time to join the dots.
