Creative Conflict

Creative conflict, nom de guerre,
for disputations we may share.
Decreed within the poetry
that’s found in nonconformity
we gain support for this affair.

It may begin on just a dare
that’s given with that certain glare,
but quickly graduates to be
creative conflict.

There’s no good reason, but I swear
sometimes it’s more than one can bear.
We always seem to disagree
about the way things ought to be
and ne’er despair the wear and tear.
