“Marching On”
By: Candance M. Wait

Where have all the soldiers gone our freedom fought to save?
         We’re marching on.
Where are all the brave ones steadfast and loyal to the cause?
         We’re marching on.
Where are the fighters and warriors who died our lives to save?
         We’re marching on.
Where are they who paid the heavy toll for liberty’s bell to ring?
         We’re marching on.
Where have gone the lads and lasses striving still the fight to win?
         We’re marching on.
Where are the courageous troops defending generations still to come?
         We’re marching on.
Where are those who’ve been tortured for the cause?
         We’re marching on.
Where are they who stopped the wrongs our enemies did inflict?
         We’re marching on.
Where are those who suffered much for sake of hearth and home?
         We’re marching on.
Where have all the soldiers gone?
         We’re marching on.
