when the person you thought you love shows you that it was just a game.
Fireproof

I wish I was fireproof
Then nothing will break me,
Then you would not be able to break me.
I wish you could see my heart bleed,
I wish you could hear the echoes of my crying heart,
I wish you could feel the pain you caused me.
I close my eyes and I can still taste
The mint on your lips.
I close my eyes and I can still feel
Your hands caressing me tenderly.
I close my eyes and I can still smell
The sweet scent of deep desire on your shirt.
I open my eyes and I realize that
All of it was a mere lie, a mirage I believed in,
A dream I did not want to wake up from.
I gave you my heart, and you ripped it apart,
Shred it until there were no pieces left.
But why doesn't it bother you to see me like this?
Why do you not care?
Why does a part of me still loves you?
Why?
