Just something I wrote a while ago
There’s some kind of darkness you get used to
A kind of hopelessness where there’s nothing you can do
A certain coldness that starts to feel good
A special isolation that comes from under your hood
A melancholy mood that passively revolts
Against any kind of light that could help you from your faults
A bittersweet pity that comes from self-loathing
A chilling warmth that comes from under your clothing.

There’s a fire that rages in everyone’s hearts
The wildest dance faster the bigger they are,
While some are smaller being beaten and hurt,
Which is fine, cause they’re less likely to get burnt
A feeling brought by others, but is yours all alone
A safety knowing nobody else is in your home
A mental war unrelenting that nobody can stand
So sit down, relax, and let your soul reprimand.
