Fiction challenge entry for 7/14
Suddenly it me like a bolt of lightning, or rather it was a slow realization that had been materializing for several months.  Life had taken several twists and turns and I was ready for things to start being different, I just wasn't sure how. I wanted things in life, nice house, dependable vehicles, family, good income, in essence; the American Dream. I just wasn't sure how to go about acquiring these things.

Then suddenly I did. I knew what I wanted to do with my life and how to set about achieving all the things I wanted. The realization hit me with a deafening thud one night as I lay in bed.

People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.

I would begin my quest with a grass roots campaign that would include a whistle stop tour of the battle ground states. This would be followed by multiple speaking engagements through the Bible Beltway of the South, much baby kissing and hand shaking would be deployed in an attempt to win the public's nomination for consideration as the Sexiest Man Alive. If I stay positive and strong, my message should carry me through the caucuses.

What could be better? I've seen a few of the guys who've won in the past and they seem to be doing alright for themselves, a couple of them have even been in movies.  I think one of them just got married.

It all comes down to perspective and finding that moment when everything just clicks, when everything falls into place and clarity lights your path like big flashlight. I'll never forget that moment for me that night as laid in bed with my hands clasped behind my head. If you've ever experienced that moment, where were you when it happened?
