The Dance


They move across, around each other
grace and joy in the room.
Hand in hand, arm to arm, face to face,
heat from contact, contact from happiness.
Laughter and passion mix, forming emotions
and pictures never seen but in dreams.
They twist and twirl, the cares and worries
of tomorrow reduced to shadows
by the shine of their smiles.
