THE
SONG OF LIFE
There
stood a mountain
Its
lofty peak reaching the skies
As
haughty and imperious
As
that of a conceited beauty
It's
rugged and craggy slopes
Making
it a treacherous ascent
The
way an intimidated guy feels
To
approach an aloof loveliness
Then,
one fateful day the Earth trembles
The
mountain tremors from it's roots
The
world around her tumbles
Paving
way for doomed days
The
upsurge of waves, the rise and fall of tides
Perilous
sea waters
Her
life is that of a tortured soul
Peace
robbed off, melancholy chills her heart
The
spell dies out
The
waves, calm and soothing
There
is a truce in her existence
Tranquility
of mind, if not for a stretch
Higher
and higher the water rises, like tsunami
Pandemonium
strikes humans and aquamarine alike
Life
is in turmoil, no solace, desolate, barren
Her
sanity wanes, her eyes stare into nothing
A
seed deep buried inside Earth
Shoots
to life, its thirst quenched by a drop of rain
Her
inner song starts as a low murmur
It
taps the senses to their core
Leaves
sprout, the infancy of the color assuaging
Dew
drops make it a sweet treat to the eyes
The
song grows stronger, the mist starts clearing
Her
senses slowly catches breath
Sweet
smelling fruits and flowers blossom
The
tree stands sturdy against the odds of nature
The
song of her life takes full swing
Head
held high, the patronizing look is back
