LAWN MOWER STEEPLE CHASE

At last! Lawn mower steeplechase! Determination’s on my face Saturdays I mow the lawn Now it’s time, the race I on!

I’m going for my fastest cut Must keep the mower out of ruts Quick! Veer around that Tiki Torch Knock that down, the lawn might scorch!

Hard Aport! Avoid the pool! Cerulean blue would not be cool Now push it hard and cut that green Pick up time and drive it mean

“Dogwood!!!!” What’s that awful sound! Ran over something on the ground! My race is over!! Oh Alas! A darn brass gadget in the grass!

For me today there’s no gold medal That pesky lawn did best my mettle No need, however, to lose face Next Saturday…..another race!
