‘’Sarah??  Now where is this girl?? ” Called out her mom.  “I guess she is still in Mavis’s house” but she was not! Mavis had gone for her classes so they decided the meeting to be held tomorrow. “Oh, moms told me get a haircut if Bob is in the parlor” Sarah remembered.” Let me go and check, by chance…”  As she thought bob was in there watching “America’s funniest home videos’’. He saw Sarah entering the shop.”Hey Bob, mom said my hair has overgrown, do ya have some time to cut it?”. “Yes sure" he said pulling a chair out and switching the T.V off. Bob’s parlor was in a sort of in the ground floor of a big building

Bob was well known to all the people in the town for the hair styles he does. “Bob I don’t want any of those stylish hairstyles, just do a simple one!”

Sarah’s mom called Mavis’s mom and asked “hey Emily, is Sarah there?”

“No, not exactly. No Sarah, neither Mavis!”

“Okay Emily sorry for disturbing!

“No worry!”

She kept the phone down.



The haircut was done, and Sarah was relieved mom had not forgotten to give her cash! “Here Mr. Bob”. “Cash.”  She said.

“Okay thanks, visit our shop again!” Bob said

When Sarah left the shop she thought it was time to go home. “Oh gosh it’s 8:53! Mom is gonna let me have it! I have to hurry! Sarah rushed to her house and ringed the bell, but no one opened the door!  “Mom, mom, is anyone in there? Dad? Oh dad is not at home.”  Sarah’s mom had gone to the park near Mavis’s house searching for Sarah! But thinking it’s too late she returned home and saw Sarah. “Hey Sarah you are back? Where the heck had you been huh?” she asked panting and puffing “Well, oh I had been to Mavis’s for a meeting, but she had gone for her classes so I decided to take a hair cut with the money you had given.”  She said. “So where is the rest of the money?”  Her mom asked “Here!” she said taking the money out of her pocket. And so they went in and Sarah learnt a lesson not to wander out at night!
