the dark of the night,an angel in sight

when the night turns dark

and there is no sound at all

you can hear a child praying

before she would lay her head

on a warm wool linen,

when all of a sudden an angel appeared

and lit like a star in the sky

singing praises like it were something to sing about

it was singing and praising all about

for no one saw her and no one cared for the world was dark and cold

but not for that angel which was near.
