Put On Christ



The safeguard of everyone, born of a man and woman,

It’s the covering of Christ to shield us from temptation.

For there is no defense within the flesh to stop the wily foe,

Soon as you think you’ve conquered, you have sinned before you know,



The flesh is fully pampered and hates to fast and pray.

With just the thought of hunger, stomachs grumble in dismay.

The only path to victory, everyone must realize.

Surrender up the selfish flesh, then go and put on Christ.



Apostle Paul had his struggles, he found it hard do what’s right.

And Apostle Peter cursed and swore, with Christ within his sight.

Both men gained the victory, to help them in their plight.

They found their only answer was to put on Jesus Christ.



Fellow brothers and sisters, we share the sinful trait.

We are beckoned by the Spirit, to have it now replaced.

The Surgeon came from heaven to remove the parasite.

Dedicate your life to Him right now, then go and put on Christ.
