You can live your life
Completely oblivious
Not knowing that inside
Lies something hideous

Lurking, waiting
But doing little harm
Until the doctor tells you
'Just try and keep calm'

But once you know
You can never forget
Then realising that now
Your path has been set

Up to this point
You felt completely fine
But now you must wait
For your decreasing time

Although never forget
That there is always hope
All of this worrying
And you will feel like a dope

Maybe nothing was wrong
Throughout this whole ordeal
But that wouldn't stop it
Being completely surreal

And if that was the way
And it was all fake
Then putting it off
Was your biggest mistake

Would you rather the rest
of your life living in fear
Always knowing
Your end is near

Or live what you have left
In the dark, but in bliss
With an un-resting
Wonder of what you did miss
