Sometimes we walk through life wishing and waiting

We wish for the past and wait for the future

All the while despising the present

We wait for the catalyst to come

The catalyst that will change everything

Bring us closer to the past

Or push us into the future

But maybe waiting too long for change

Makes the present last forever

The past gets further away

And the future never comes

Maybe I should be my own catalyst

Maybe I should be my change

Or forever fear the perpetual purgatory of the now.
