Holds all my dreams and fears
Even when all my hope is gone
I can still find comfort there

It takes away some of my sadness
I'm not so lonely knowing it's there

With all of it's beautiful secrets
I'm the only one who knows it's there

Tells the story of a man in love
With all my sadness and regrets
With all the joys of love written there

The little black book I write in
Will be with me till the end
Maybe someday someone will read it
And understand what I've written there
