The view of an orphan through their own eyes
[Introduction]
Children crying. The same mournful sound hits her ears everyday. Always hungry, always tired, always alone. Food is limited. Her eyes glance outside to a world she has never known. She see's happy family's walking together. Their faces are full of love. Love is something she always dreamed of. Everyday, she looks in the mirror. Matted hair, tired eyes, and weather worn skin. The officials of the orphanage tell her she will be wanted one day. She knows they lie. She thinks she's to old to be adopted. People want younger children, she thinks to herself. Cold, unloved forever.
