This is the story of a woman who had, in her mind, everything, and lost it all. |
Dusk Young brave and squaw live in blissful devotion, Warmth, love and adoration, their world of emotion. Tender and caring her eyes tell a tale, Of a love and affection that will never fail. From this union of joy comes a gift from above, A healthy young daughter to cherish and love. Years of nurturing witness her grow up beautiful and strong, Until one nights disaster saw it all go dreadfully wrong. A piercing cry confirms her darkest innermost fears. Whilst her child lies limp and unresponsive, she is overcome with grief-stricken tears. The anguish within her caused great frustration and denial to brew, But to remain cold and distant on the surface was all that she knew. Though inside she yearned to scream and shout, what had once been inseparable ended when he finally walked out. An anger and hatred pulses through her veins, Consumed with such guilt and sorrow but unsure who to blame. Still haunted by her loss, life becomes meaningless. Dejected and now alone, she is abandoned in her loneliness. The natural world provides comfort, but still the emptiness hangs on, Although, at least, for the mean time, the numbness is gone. To be free from the darkness, she must show forgiveness. But the phase has not passed where she sees it as pointless. After suffering such overwhelming misery and pain, Wisdom and knowledge are her only gain. Acceptance takes time, but even it does arrive. No longer pursued by the shadows, she finally feels alive. Her mind is at peace, her heart has found worth, In amongst nature and stunning mother earth. |
