Homer’s Point of View

Three more days until the science fair nationals. That’s all I thought of. But, it’s so stressful to think about not winning and all of my hard work going down the drain. So, I need to get away from all of this science stuff for the rest of the day. I need to find some friends to hang out with. I miss my old crew. I head out the door, straight towards a diner. I step into the diner quickly, ready to eat. I order fast and a group of teenage boys my age walk in. I look over and they start heading my way. “Hello, do I know you?” I say. They all stare at me then one spoke up. “Yeah, we’re all contestants of the science fair.” Said a boy named Sam. “OK. Would you like to sit and eat with me?” I asked them. “Sure.” They all say in unison. We all chatted together, learning about where we came from and a little about our lives. After that we said our good-byes and went our separate ways. The next afternoon I went to the science fair to check on my display. I walk into the building and I see my display is gone. I’m worried that I won’t be able to present on the big day. All I thought was who would want to take my materials for my display.
