thinking about writing

I write because I like to (sometimes), because I have a need to, it calls to me. I have been writing for a long time but I don't write stories or anything, I care to share. I write for myself, what I think. The question is; how do you fit a square peg in a round hole? How do I have a space in a writing world? If a writer writes alone and no one reads it are they still a writer? I know I am.....
