The feelings of a daughter when her father has to go out for work.
I’m going to be a big girl someday

And when you’ll leave I won’t cry.

But not today

Sorry I can’t let you fly high in the sky.

Just hold my hand right now

Protect me from the storm

Daddy I’m not ready to say ‘Ciao’

Maybe I won’t be till I live in a dorm.

And I’m sorry for crying when you have to go

Sorry I don’t slacken my grip when you need to leave

It might take a little time, the process might be slow

But I promise you someday when you go I won’t grieve.

Work is something you have to do

And I know you do it for me

But for right now let me be blue

And someday a baby I won't be.
