The Migratory Birds

Three little birds soaring
          So high
Across the ocean touring
          The sky;
Leisurely flying to join
          The flocks
Smoothly zooming above
          The blocks.



Here comes another
          Zooming group
Towering down like
          A troop;
Across the city, soaring
          Up and down;
Circling and gliding round
          And round.
         


Catching up, closing
          Distance
Smoothly gliding, chance
          By chance;
Chirping sweet, sweet
          Tweeting beats
Sending echoes over
          The streets.



The sweet singing migratory
          Flocks
Keep tweeting and chirping
          Over the blocks. 
A pleasure to see
          In foggy daylight;
Migratory birds taking
          A flight.
