Just an Iraqi Story
[Introduction]
Did you ever thought to be alone for one second inside a bunker? No?

Sgt. Vargas was inside a bunker. The one where all illuminated ammunition is storage. She was by herself tonight inside the bunker while drawing some rounds and packaging them. Its was very dark inside because it was night time and there was no power inside the bunker. Therefore, all she had was a flashlight and a gator with the lights on that can only illuminate so much inside the bunker.

Sgt. Vargas started to hear some footsteps outside the bunker. Whoever or whatever it was walking the same momentum and was walking counter-clockwise. She stopped doing the packaging and paused for a moment so that she can hear a little bit better. She turned of the engine of the gator, and listened more. The footsteps kept going and going, it didn't stopped at all and she was able to hear it pass by the entrance doors twice already. She quickly threw the cans of ammo in the gator, started the engine and took off. She didn't say a word to the rest of the Soldiers that night.

Two nights later, Sgt. Vargas and Sgt. Thompson went to the same bunker. Sgt. Vargas remembered everything that happened two nights before but didn't say anything. They were both quite trying to draw some ammunition, when all of a sudden she started to hear the footsteps. She didn't said anything because she thought that she was hallucinating again. All of a sudden, Sgt. Thompson paused, turned off the gator's engine and started to listen carefully.

"Do you hear that?", Sgt. Thompson asked.

"Ummm, yeah." Sgt. Vargas said while looking around. "About that, the other nights I heard it too but I thought that I was just tripping. You know?" She gave half a smile to Sgt. Thompson.

"Holy Shit! Is just the same steps over and over." Sgt. Vargas said while looking around and trying to hear more carefully. "How much to we have left?"

"Not much", Sgt. Vargas said while looking at the papers. "We just need to pull out three more items and that's it. Let's hurry up. Shall we?"

"Yeah, that's a good idea." Sgt. Thompson said.
