Contemplative Stranger

There is a woman
Who reads books
Humor is relevant
To catch her eye
Her laugh unguarded
And at times malevolent
But the angels sing
When you hear her cry.

There is a woman
Who sits and stares
Out of windows at trees
And the summer sky
She smiles at wisdom
Her playful ambiguous
Interpretation of love
Could make a fallen soul fly
