Udhava Bird santuary is in Sahibganj district which was recognised in 1991. Pathora lake of this place remain filled with water all around the year through udhava dam. It is well connected by river ganga. Moota Nagar Crocodile breeding centre is situated in north of ranchi.

Tilaiya dam is on Barakar river which is a tributary of damodar. It was constructed in 1953. Konar dam was on Konar river in Hazaribagh. Maithan is also constructed on barakar river. Panchet Pahari Dam is bigger than Tilaiya, Konar and Maithan. This was constructed in 1959 at the border of dhanbad and bengal. It is at the confluence of barakar with Damdar.
