A poem I wrote after a bad break up

A Wise Wolf teaches strong sheep,
To sleep soundly in their beds.
He keeps gilded dreams of gold and ale,
Running true through their heads.
But betrayal bounds lightly,
Silently through the night deception treads.
Lost love and false allies conspire,
Locked coldly in their dens.
To Earth, black thoughts and hungry steel,
The Devil lovingly sends.
Errands of forlorn faith and forgotten glory,
Tonight the reign of a good King ends.
On soft souls assassins cunningly creep,
A coward’s flight to reap unsown seeds.
How often the Moon is the only witness,
To mankind's darkest deeds.
