The Boxer

Before me stands the boxer,
his coat so smooth and brown
stands tall to place his paws
on either side of my neck

ever so high strung the boxer
his energy seems without limit
jumping high and bouncing off the walls
whenever someone comes around

none so high spirited as the boxer
he wants so much
to be the center of attention
will push all others away

but alas he's not alone
for with him is another
she loves to lie out in the sun
and get away from him

whenever you give her your attention
be sure to be able to block him
for if he is able, he'll push her away
and hog all of the attention for himself
