This is something I whipped up for one of my classes.
Running through the endless red hall trying to hide,

The hallway seems to repeat and replay with every long stride.

An echo from my presuer's feet shows I'm not alone,

A laugh catches up with me in a high tone.

The tile floor gains marks with every hoof  I put down,

The black fabric blows behind me from my latest gown.

I run and run as fast as I can to find an escape route,

I try to keep my hope alive but still I have my doubt.

Momentarily flipping my head over my shoulder to see,

My attacker smirking crudely and eyes full of glee.

With mustered force I gear up only to find,

A door on the wall quickly seen and now behind.

My labored breaths start to burn inside my neck,

In this time I find it hard not to wreck.

Finding myself struggling to inhale,

I need a way out before I get to frail.

Another door, opposite, comes into my vision,

With the thresholds sight I come to a hurried decision.

My heart pounds as I slam into the cold door,

Only to find it locked I start to prepare for.

I look to find the dark man racing right towards me,

And I know that there is no possible way to flee.

To feel the sharp silver soar across my delicate skin,

A disembodied feeling makes my mind spin.

I lurch forward gasping for my breath,

Wondering yet to find where is the death.

As I take off to collect and redeem,

I find my experience to be a dream.
