A poem of the form Joseph's Star
Fresh
Wet morn dew,
Sweet birds’ melody,
Moist sand, fragrant evermore,
Nature’s beloved palette,
The cleanser of souls,
So courtly,
Pure.





Joseph's Star

This form was created by Christina Jussaume in honor of her father. The poem consists of eight-lined, non-rhyming stanzas (an unlimited #), with a syllabic count of 1/3/5/7/7/5/3/1. Each line of the piece should be a complete statement. Poems written according to this form should be centered for best effect (the *star* shape).
