the city halts

and the gumball students roll into the street

they don't look both ways
only down
their eyes gummy glued to Youtube
and some random video about sick car crashes

the art students don't care much for reality
only realism
the philosophy students have text "discussions" of
how cops like drugs more than donuts
and IQ and atheism are directly proportional

it is 8 o'clock in Athens
a city ruled by a stone goddess
who talks to owls

Athena is a glutton
full of bell curve barbies and cheap bong buddies

but money is sweeter than wisdom

so she opens her mouth wide
and swallows
