I wrote this short poem dedicated to "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen.
Deep in her castle she waits,
The queen of winter and ice.
She desires all of the world,
And not even her palace will suffice.

She secretly desires heat and passion,
But her heart stays frozen and cold.
Everything she touches freezes,
Yet she aches for someone to hold.

Her mirror shows her the world,
But it has been twisted with malice and spite.
The queen watches us through her mirror,
Yearning for darkness to conquer the night.

Deep in her castle she waits,
The ruler of darkness and snow.
She has a secret wish for love,
But her wish will only lead to sorrow.
