A humerous outlook on being bitten by a mosquito.....
Ode to the Mosquito Who Bit Me in Crete.

One night I heard a buzzing
Round my head as I was sleeping,
For whilst I slept in peace
A mosquito had come creeping.

I flapped my arms and waved her
Towards the balcony door
But before she left, she chomped on me
And then came back for more!

I woke from my sweet slumber
As the day dawned from the night
And had not one or two NOR three
But NINE mosquito bites!

Why Mrs Mosquito?
When I caused you no harm,
Must you decide to feast
On my poor sweet blood filled arms?!

Perhaps some leaves or berries
Would be a worthwhile snack
And much tastier than nibbling
On my hands and feet and back!

We can live in harmony –
There is a lot of world.
There is no need for munching
On this vegetarian girl!

So to all mosquitos!
I bid you care today –
As tonight I will be sleeping
Armed with some MOSQUITO SPRAY!
