“Oh, thank you Honey,” Momma said to Dad as he handed her the tiny kitten. The kitten looked just like Tony the Tiger.

Frightened the tiny animal crawled into the safety of her shirt. All that you could see of it was two tiny shinny eyes bright from between the Strawberry twins buttons. Dad could see that Momma and the tiny baby was falling in love. I knew that I had a tiny furry sister.

The next day I wanted to hold the kitty. I had to look everywhere. There she was under the blankets on Momma's bed. I must have grabbed her ear because she attacked my hand. I pull my hand out with blood dripping from my first finger.

         “Momma!”

“What is it Matilda?” Mom came running.

         “What happened to you?”

         “Kitty, bit me.”

Mom washed my hands, and she put a big bird dressing on it. “You know, Matilda, that you seem like a giant to this tiny baby. She is afraid that you will hurt her. So until she learns to trust you, it would be safer if you let me catch her for you.”

         “Ok,” I left pouting.

Dad came home and just grabbed the kitten by the scruff of its neck. He lifted it up to his face to look at her.

I scream running toward him, “No! Put her down!” I push him with my three sticky fingers from my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. “Naughty Daddy, we don't carry the baby. It scares her.”

“Your right,” Dad tells me as he picks me up. “ Your not too little. Are you.”

“Nope. I am big. I am five now.”

Dad swings me around before throwing me on the bed tickling me.
