A Heavenly Throne

God has bestowed upon us
His all-encompassing truth,
A passionate mercy for humankind
So completely engaged in sin
And so wondrously enthroned by fate and remorse
Throughout the passing of time.

Enriched by His watchful eye
Atop this heavenly throne,
Humans construct and facilitate
Their meager and honest lives
In utter respect or disrespect for their sacred duties.

Soundly cursed for any
Crude and worthless infractions,
Many of God’s virile
And fallible disciples continue aimlessly
Toward atheistic and amoral livelihoods.
The fruitful clock ticks
Each precious and solitary moment
With mesmerizing depth and quality,
As folks proceed on this fateful and inspiring journey
Along the misty and darkened trail
To spiritual salvation,
Toward everlasting peace and glory
In His forgiving and blessed realm.
