~Bonnie and Clyde~

You be my Bonnie
I’ll be your Clyde
We’ll hit up those banks
Riding side by side
Our love is like fire
Our heart’s all aflame
We’ll live our desire
We’ll wallow in fame


~How? ~

One day I met this man
Our eyes met and sparks flew
Six months later, a friendship began
Time didn’t fly, it blew
He asked to be my man
I thought, this can’t be true
How is it that our love began
From a friendship so raw, so new
But I wouldn’t trade my biggest fan
For another lover, or two


~Taken Fear~

I write my heart
A bleeding pen
About a love that
Has no end
A love that conquers
All my fears
A whispered word
Alone I hear
A subtle sigh
A lonesome hunger
For you alone
I crave and wonder
I long for you
And for your kiss
I had no hope
For love like this
Yet here I stand
And you are here
And you’ve given love
And taken fear


~Infantry Blue~

There is this man I have fallen
So deeply in love with, it’s true
He has sparkling eyes that twinkle
And is the colour of infantry blue
His hands, rough as leather, are gentle
His kiss is so tender, so sweet
His body, more than a temple
From his head down to his feet
I love the way that he whispers
I love the way that he winks
I fall for him every time I see him
Without his love, my heart, it sinks
He means more to me than he knows
I feel for him, like none I’ve known
And crave his laugh and talk and touch
For my heart is his and his alone


~Middle of the Night~

This is the time where tears may swell
This is the hour where fears may dwell
In the middle of the night
Filling my heart with this plight
I turn around to see you there
Wishing, oh wishing, for you to care
Happiness escapes away from me
Loneliness, is all that I can see
No hand to hold or arms to feel
My heart you came to take, to steal
And still I can't break away
And still I ask for you to stay
Remember me my dearest one
Remember me, though we are done


~Open Book~

Here I am
An open book
All you need
Is to take a look
My heart wide open
And yours to take
But should you leave
My heart would break
