This was written partly while I was walking my dog. it reflects some lighter thoughts., |
If Vernors had alcohol I'd be under the table Then drink some more As soon as I was able. If I had a fountain of coffee And a do nut tree Then I'd be as happy as could be. But coffee is made with a ground up roasted bean And donuts come -- From a store! So when the box is empty, there is no more. But a p.b.j. is just as good Peanut & jelly on bread Is fuel in the belly. I walk my dog on half a cup Pets are toddlers They never grow up! If pasta grew in a swamp I'd eat it up before it got damp. If my dog could fly Oh My, Oh My! He'd chase the squirrels thru the trees Not wrap the leash round my knees. He doesn't but I had to have a rhyme that time. My sinuses, my sinuses! Run like a leaky hose Do I have a snot - tank down to my toes? If doggy could fly - I insist So could I, we'd have A stroll in the sky! But he is friends with -- My cat! My cat! She eats so much she's very fat! It's not kittens in her tummy Just whatever she thinks is yummy! She shares my donuts, p.b.j., and buttered taters With me, Tis true! "If it's daddys it has to be good." Her motto is, and demands to go out When her pal the dog Goes out too! What the other animals think, I haven't a clue But pet hi-jinks and play Makes me glad not mad. |
