A magical dream

Down in the woods, there was a rare mushroom that gave you magical powers if you ate it. One time, there was a little boy walking home from a friend’s house, bouncing his ball. It was super time and he hasn’t eaten all day. He was so hungry; the thought of the delicious chicken and mom’s homemade mashed potatoes watered his mouth. As he was bouncing his ball it hit a rock and rolled into the woods. He was in a hurry to get home so he ran as quickly as possible to get it. He saw the ball, but there was something strange beside it. The boy examined it and came to realize it was a type of mushroom. It didn’t look like any other mushroom you would see. It had a shell covering the outside. He picked it up and he couldn’t take the hunger anymore. His tummy was growling as loud as the roaring thunder at night. He put the mushroom in his mouth and chewed it up. It had a tangy sweet taste to it so he finished eating it. He picked up his ball and continued his long walk back home. When he arrived, something didn’t feel right so he went and to lie down but couldn’t get to sleep, so he thought a bath would make him feel better. As soon as he hit the water, he grew wings. He started to freak out.
“What the heck is happening to me?” the boy shouted.
He jumped out of the bath and ran down stairs, he screamed for his mom but she was still at work. He ran back up stairs and as he was running, he tripped and fell. Than he realized it was all just a dream.
“Boy, I’m never eating mushrooms again!”
