[Introduction]

I never really thought of how I would die. I never really planned on it ending the way it did. I don’t really know where I am right now. Whether I’m in heaven or hell, I haven’t a clue. All I know is what happened. And that it was the experience of a lifetime.
It was a chilly winter morning as I sat and waited for the school bus. I sipped on my scalding hot coffee. Black, just the way I liked it. I looked up in panic as I heard the bus coming. I ran outside just barely making it to the end of the driveway before it slowed to a stop. I climbed the steps as fast as my sore legs would carry me. I still had shin splits from softball practice the previous week. I walked with my head down until I got to my seat in the back of the bus. I plopped down in the seat I shared with my friend Sam.
“Hey” I said in a huff.
“Hi” she replied. “Can I have a drink?” she added, pointing to my coffee cup.
“It’s black” I told her, knowing that she probably didn’t want it anymore.
“Ugh. Never mind.” She said, disgusted. I knew how much she loved her flavored coffee. I just shrugged my shoulders and we rode the rest of the way to school in silence.

I strolled into the school, saying “hello” to various people who said it to me. I didn’t even try to see who they were; I was just looking for him. I rounded the corner and headed to my locker. I stuffed my jacket and my now empty coffee cup into it and grabbed my world geography and lit. Books and put them into my book bag. As I walked to my first period class, I felt strong, warm arms surround me. I smiled widely as I turned around and looked at the love of my life. Every time I saw his beautiful face I couldn’t help but grin ear to ear.
“Hey baby, how was your night?” he asked me in that deep, sexy voice I loved.
“It was okay. How was yours?” I questioned back.
“It was fine. I couldn’t sleep most of the night though…”
“Why not baby?”
“’cause I couldn’t stop thinking about the most beautiful girl in the world.” He said with a smile. I smiled back and asked,
“And who would that be?” knowing what he would say.
“You.” He told me. He kissed me gently on the lips and my head swam. 8 months and I still couldn’t get enough. He took my hand and we walked to my first period. I listened closely as he told me a story about what had happened the previous afternoon. As we approached my class my heart sank. I turned to him and wrapped my arms around his neck tightly. I had to stand on my toes to reach. He wrapped his arms around my waist in return, picking me up. I let out a small squeal and then a laugh as he spun around with me in his arms.
“I love you Anerie.” He whispered when he put me down and put his forehead on mine.
“I love you more Josh.” I whispered back. He kissed me hard on the lips and I kissed him back, pulling myself closer to him. When he pulled away, I took his hands in mine. I held them up and tangled our fingers together. His hands were big and rough, but warm and strong. I looked into his big brown eyes and smiled.
“Have a great day, baby. I'll see you after class.” I told him. He nodded his head and gave me one last, quick hug. He let me go and turned and walked away to his class. I sighed and went into algebra.
