Just as a glass will eventually break, a thread will undo a soul.

Unraveled, undone, uncovered
blind bat smiling without a clue
The cup no longer run-neth over
rose colored glasses turned blue

A  love blind soul cannot see
yet she feels the shiver of cold
The last thread slowly pulls free
coolness is the only clue
to the love blind mistress
Cold is all she can see

There she lies freezing
she becomes more invisible each day
Welcoming oncoming peace standing near
forgetting loves wretched decay

Eyes closed, arms held close
try to stop her shivering soul
The tap tap tap of ever moving fingers
remind her of days long ago

Color and warmth have  gone
perhaps tomorrow will turn  blue back to rose
And  this  nightmare will  be done
