Pregnancy; an apt desire.
A crosshair trigger,
Of dreams gone sour.
A natural feeling,
Easily turned to loathing
An early expectancy,
Of a terrible epiphany.
Suddenly what is life,
But a buzzing drone.
A child complicates singularity
When it enters the home.
All things modified.
By no means, alike again.
Your life begins anew,
By a simple act of sin.
Birth breeds forth qualities
Not previously existing.
It screws up mind and body,
While adding the element missing.
Shot from childhood to parenthood
What will become of us?
An ancient question handed down
Our only ally trust.
