Little Did I Know

Little did I know
as it dawned a year ago
that it's going to take me
in a road that's never known
the battlefield deserted
a battlefield so bloodless
because it wasn't a massacre
nor a duel
but a one man show
me and me only
with my thought and my life
little did people know
about the fight with the self
and the number of bleeding hearts it left
with love and the pain
and the sorrow that's all in vain

Little did I know
helpless my armour would be
because the grenades burst from within
in the battlefield of one-man show

Little did I know
what it could have been
little that I'd ever know
coz there's no way I'd know
"what it could have been"
