Losing someone important
The Lighthouse

I see a light in the distance, a light that fills me with confidence
After being adrift I feel safe, I can see a way
I walk towards the light, I feel safe
Finally something that guides me to a safer place

The light feels me with excitement
A light of peace, of happiness
I finally arrive to my destiny and find a lighthouse
Tall and strong, elegant and proud
A lighthouse that has defied the elements and has won
I smile, without it wouldn't have arrived

Its sturdy, his light illuminates and guides
Its warmth is safe and tender
The fortitude is an example, something I want to learn
I try to be like the lighthouse, strong and unbreakable

Life keeps going and I get lost again
Between banalities I can't find my way
I realize something, I am not like the lighthouse

I search again for that light
Its not there and I fall
I arrive to the place it used to be
The lighthouse is gone

I don't know what to do
The light is gone
The strong and proud lighthouse is finally gone

I feel weak, without a path to take
The light I trusted has gone away
I don't know what to do, I am taken aback
I never thought the lighthouse would fall

I am angry, I am sad, I am confused
Something new I don't know how to handle
It engulfs me, it overwhelms me
I can see only darkness, I am distraught
Looking for a way out, I seem to find it no more

The lighthouse that I trusted, which was my support
It's gone, it left me
I am angry, the lighthouse is no more
The sadness fills me, without letting me live
The light its gone and with it has taken a part of me
